Persona LM uses Level 1 protected customer data in the public Shopify app. We process Shopify customer IDs, order and product data, product IDs, timestamps, quantities, prices, and fulfillment or refund state so merchants can understand customer segments and product demand.
We do not collect customer names, emails, phone numbers, or street addresses in the public Shopify app. We also do not directly upload customer profiles, emails, or phone numbers to Klaviyo, Meta, or other marketing vendors in the public Shopify app lane.
Persona LM computes customer segments from Shopify order and product data and writes PLM-owned segment tags back to Shopify. Merchants can then use Shopify Email, Klaviyo through Shopify, Meta through Shopify, and other merchant-owned Shopify integrations without Persona LM storing customer contact information.
Merchant data includes store configuration, integration status, and operational settings. Customer data is limited in public Shopify mode to customer IDs and order/product behavior needed to compute segments. Internal custom-app or legacy lanes are separate from the public Shopify App Store lane.
We retain merchant and customer-ID keyed records only as long as needed to provide the service, satisfy security obligations, and support deletion audits. Shopify privacy webhooks are handled through customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact, and app/uninstalled endpoints. These requests export, delete, or anonymize retained data according to the Shopify topic and affected shop/customer.
Persona LM uses infrastructure providers for hosting, database storage, object storage, authentication, analytics ingestion, and secure operations. We do not sell customer data. Vendor integrations that a merchant already owns remain controlled by that merchant.
